Rarely does a machine come into the garage that is already in superb shape. I mean show winning shape. Such is the case with this 76 2002. It is a standard 1976 car with no special features or factory rarities. However, it was subject to a bare metal restore that I witnessed. It was owned by a guy who had a body shop, and who decided to take on a 2002 after allowing Ed and I to store a couple of parts car 02s. I was there periodically and watched a planned paint job turn into a full on restoration. Money was not a barrier. I told him that I had first dibs if he decided to sell. It took 6 years.
The parts were all OEM BMW purchased from a dealership ! The paint is superb. It needs a few minor things, but not much. I will eventually get some restoration pictures.
