The Vanagon needed some exercise, and my son needed to take some pictures for his college photography class. The theme was a “Park”, so we travelled to a nearby state park. Actually, it was about 50 miles away. The route was a combination of backroads, with only a short highway stint. The bus seemed to handle it fine, and delivered about 18 mpg. This is remarkedly better than the 10-13 mpg before the change of injectors and adjustment of the MAF. We ran the Ausranvik fridge all day as well, and it kept things cold. We also carried 2 foldable bikes in the bike with room to spare. Overall, a good day in Vanagon life!
