Classic Velocity

This bike is going to the MOA Rally in St Paul, MN. In a week or so ! It is in need of a few items. Fluids, tires, etc. This brngs me to another broken item that the previous owner had purchased the replacement for, and which came with the bike. It was a hinge for the topcase. The cases on this bike are ok, but you can see why the R12GSA got a redesign. These are smaller, not quite as secure, and prone to hinge damage if over-extended. The bad hinge broke into pieces about the third time I opened it, and because it twisted slightly, it broke the “good” one. With only a few days to go before departure, I fashioned a field repair. It should serve until I return, and looks positively shade-tree…..
