Classic Velocity

Gottfried Delius was the man behind the production of small motorcycles and scooters from 1949 to 1953. The company was based in Osnabruck, and was an attempt to capitalize on the postwar need for small efficient machines. Delius procured 2 stroke motors from both Lutz, and Sachs, and produced 50cc and 100cc machines.

The most successful model was the CityFix, which was a step-through machine. It had characteristics of both a motorcycle, and a scooter. It had larger wheels, and a girder front suspension. The engine was also exposed to view. However, the engine was placed toward the rear under the seat, it had floorboards, and had a two speed gearbox. Regardless, it was one of the interesting evolutionary offerings during the postwar period.
