There were two items to be tested, so a nice proving run was in order. A couple of hours out to a point on the gulf and back. The tires proved to be much quieter than I had suspected. The Michelins were great as far as noise is concerned, so I was expecting a significant difference. Not really. They tracked great, and the turning circle seems to be fine. Handling on dirt/gravel will need to wait, but today they at least saw some sand. The other test was of the fuel guage. I am happy to report that it seems to work fine. There is a fuel leak coming from one of the vent seals when completely full, but that will be a repair for some future point. Fuel anxiety relieved.
